The GlenDronach Recherche was distilled back in 1968.
From Cask number 005, an Oloroso Sherry Butt, and from some of the oldest stocks in the distillery.
Only 632 of these beauties are available worldwide.
Tasting Notes from GlenDronach
Appearance – Dense antique mahogany with a cherry wood influence.
Nose – Lovely balance. Clean, fresh with remarkable fruitiness. Juicy sweet sultanas, dates and marrons glaces centrally positioned around a bitter chocolate heart.
Palate – Initial profile of freshly roasted coffee beans and a treacle tart character. This is succeeded with baked apples smothered with brown sugar. Brilliant structure with no dominant force but with plenty of depth and length.
Comes in a stunning velvet covered presentation case, with intricate designs – see images for futher views.
