anCnoc Peter Arkle Whisky – Bricks Edition

15 June 2013

The new release by anCnoc in the Peter Arkle range. The 3rd release, or 4th if you count the travel retail exclusive back in October 2012.

The Knockdhu Distillery is a peaceful place but it can be shocking to suddenly come across bright warning signs on the brick walls of the dunnage warehouses:
NO SMOKING OR NAKED LIGHTS, DANGER EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE and FLAMMABLE LIQUID.
A sudden reminder that making anCnoc is a serious business. Powerful forces are at work. Yes you may find yourself laughing with your friends while enjoying a glass but it’s important to note the drama of your dram’s creation.

The glass in your hand contains REMARKABLE LIQUID. Beware. Handle with care!

Hand selected by Distillery Manager, Gordon Bruce, this Limited Edition is matured in American and Spanish oak barrels resulting in a refreshingly light dram.
Colour: Bright amber.
Nose: The signature honey and lemon notes are accompanied by fresh flowers, juicy green apples and sweet vanilla. Touches of leather and orange zest add to the depth of the fragrance.
Taste: Spicy with notes of vibrant citrus, sherry and dark chocolate developing a mouth watering burst of hot toffee and honey sweetness.
The finish is long and smooth with notes of oranges and sherry enveloped in moreish spiciness.
